It is thus apparent that much care should be exercised in the selection and combination of food materials. When the macaroni is done, drain and put a layer of it arranged loosely in the bottom of a pudding dish. Slice the cooked egg yolks and spread a layer of them over the macaroni. Fill the dish with alternate layers of macaroni and egg, taking care to have the top layer of macaroni. Pour over the whole a cream sauce prepared as follows: Heat one and three fourths cup of rich milk to boiling, add one fourth teaspoonful of salt and one heaping spoonful of flour rubbed smooth in a little cold milk. Cook until thickened, then turn over the macaroni. Sprinkle the top with grated bread crumbs, and brown in a hot oven for eight or ten minutes. Serve hot.
Drinking Freely at Meals is harmful, as it not only encourages hasty eating, but dilutes the gastric juice, and thus lessens its activity. The food should be chewed until sufficiently moistened by saliva to allow it to be swallowed.
Flooded Basement has a smell?
Hi,
My basement has flooded. Not too deep but the carpets/padding were submerged in water so I cut them out. I'm drying the basement as best I can but theres this smell thats starting to take over. How do i get rid of it? Someone told me to mix cup bleach & gallon of water in spray bottle and spray the base boards. Is that a good idea? Now that its been flooded, will i have mold in my walls?

Bleach would be my first answer. Sometimes muriatic acid solutions are sold to clean concrete.. that's a little corrosive to work with, but it seems that some people do use it in the basement, even for wall applications. If the water seeped into the walls, it's possible to have mold, but not so deep, probably minor. You would likely see the wall damage pretty quickly. If there's non-rigid insulation, I suppose it's possible that might have soaked some water like a sponge though, and that could make the problem more questionable.
