Free parking offered by Air Southwest
The owners of Newquay Airport and Air Southwest are helping people to beat the credit crunch by offering free parking for the whole of January.
The airport has teamed up with Air Southwest, who fly worldwide to 8 destinations all year round. The 2 companies have created the offer of free parking until January 31st.
You may be wondering why it's such a great thing to get free parking at an airport because if you can afford to go away on holiday, then you can afford the parking, but if you are a regular business traveller that uses the car park, this could prove to be a great saving. Even if you're just going for your holiday, a 5 day holiday could save you around £30 on parking, which is always a great saving if you've just spent a large sum of money on a holiday.
The offer is open to anyone that has already booked their flight or is going to book a flight for before January 31st.
Karen Medweth, the head of commercial development at the airport said that the whole process would be simple. When you check into your flight, you will be given a voucher to get your free parking.
This sounds like a great idea by Newquay Airport and Air Southwest, but will it be flying to other airports? I would very much doubt it at places like Gatwick, Heathrow or Stansted, but maybe at smaller airports. However, whether it comes to other airports or not, it's always good to see a business helping the customer to save more money during the credit crunch, just aslong as Air Southwest don't go bust before January 31st, it will be great.
