How To Hit The Ball Straighter And Longer

It is common for a beginning g or intermediate golfer to hit the ball and watch it curve, heading right for the trees. Learning to hit the ball straight can be a big step toward improving your golf game. Keeping the ball straight affects just about every other aspect of the game.

By learning to fix this problem can help eliminate the frustration you feel while playing. This means that you may actually learn to enjoy the game. One way of improving your game is investing in your game a little bit. Purchasing new clubs can help you learn to play better. A new driver can help you keep the ball straight.

One of the top producers of quality drivers is Calloway golf. A Callaway driver is designed to provide you with a strait, long drive off every tee. One of the most popular of their drivers is the Big Bertha. Big Bertha is one of the oversized titanium drivers that Calloway produces.

Callaway golf drivers are all intended to hit the ball longer and straighter. They implement the latest's in technology into all of their drivers. Callaway understands that there are many different levels of players and so they make drivers that are designed to help players of all skill levels.

The Callaway 460 driver is the most popular version of their drivers. This driver is designed to provide you with the largest amount of surface allowed by USGA limits. They have designed this driver with 460cc of head space, with a tapered face. This design provides the optimum design for providing a longer straighter ball off every tee.

Besides a good quality club there are some others things that need to be considered in order to improve your drive. One of the first things you should focus on is the source of your problem. What is it you are doing that causes the ball from keeping straight? If you can answer this question then you can go far to improve your game.

Perhaps your problem is that you're slicing either to the left or the right. Or maybe your ball is going to high and then turning, or it may be going low and bending fast. All of these problems can be associated with your grip. Fixing your grip can be a process of trial and error. No two people's grips are the same. A good way to fix this is to ask your friends for suggestions or consult the course pro, where you play.

One of the hardest things to do for some golfers is learning to swing the club effectively. It is common to over swing. This will cause the angle you hit the ball at to be too high. Or you may be swinging not high enough.

It is also common to swing the club great and then hit the brakes before the driver comes into contact with the ball. This is usually out of a concern for slicing. We tend to be concerned about an aspect of the game and so we over compensate. This results in us doing the very thing we are trying to avoid. Learning not to slice can be a huge part of perfecting your game and keeping the ball straight and long off the Tee.

What tripod and ball head do you like for the Canon 30D?

I have a Manfrotto 390 tripod, with a 390 RC2 head. The head is still available, but i think you'll have to checkout manfrotto.com for another tripod, for instance 055PROB.
I am very happy with my 390 set; it had a good price and excellent all-round purpose.
Your question is not that easy to answer, because defining what kind of head you need also depends on what kind of photography you do (architecture, macro, sports, etc.) The one i described you (a three-way head) has a a big advantage that it is "all-round", disadvantage is: adjusting goes a bit slow, so for instance sport can better be done with a two way head. The tripod is both light to take abroad and pretty stable for studio work (so also all-round)
On manfrotto.com you can get a better idea of what suits you best: scroll down a bit and click "wich tripod?"
of course there is also other brands of tripods you can buy after using this site to find out what kind of equipment you want. (secondhand they are available on the net sometimes;-)

Good luck in your purchase
